For as long as I can remember I have been drawn too and fascinated with the beauty and my love for horses. So much that as a young lad growing up in the English Countryside I became a stable boy to be able to afford riding lessons, (funny as some things don't change).
As a young man in my twenties I had the desire to explore and travel and I often found myself working with horses. One very memorable experience was starting a business with some horse friends in Israel called "Touring Israel on Horseback" I would ride with a group of horse enthusiasts from all over the world on a week long ride starting at Jerusalem and ending up on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
In 1982 I arrived in California and started a life long relationship with TES. I was fortunate enough and honored to be introduced too Dressage by the late Lillian Van Dahn, Grand Prix Dressage Rider Instructor/Trainer and Co-Founder of TES.
I then went on to teach for TES in the late 80's and arrived with TES to the LAEC where I also taught during the 90's. I was very excited to be asked to teach again at TES and have since been enjoying my love for teaching and seeing my students progress to become very competent riders, some going on to compete and many becoming horse owners themselves.
Throughout my riding years I have competed in Dressage, Combined Training and Competitive Trail Riding, horses have always been in my life and will also be.
Looking forward to meeting you at TES and sharing horse experiences in person with you. - David.
